Although not very large, the storage space available at the back is sufficient. Life support systems, SATCOM (satellite communications) units or weapons can all be held here. It is also possible to store two more, fully laden troops in here, but this is rarely done.

Another advantage of the storage area is that it is completly air and water tight, meaning that fuel can be stored in there directly. However, this almost totally uses up the weight capacity for the helicopter.
