The Tigerfish has two 120 gallon tanks located in the rear of the helicopter. For additional fuel capactiy used on longer expeditions, two 230 gallon tanks or four 60 gallon tanks can be contained within the flight deck, but this puts serious limits on the remaining weight capacity and flight deck space. It also disables the use of the 7.65mm cannon.

Another option is for Air Refueling (A/R). The picture shown opposite is taken from the MC/KC-130 tanker aircraft during one such event.

The fuel used is standard aviation fuel.
