Miniland The highlights
of Billund's miniature city.
Franz Josef Strauss Airport, Munich, Germany
This model is so amazing that I don't know where to start. Built to minifig
scale, this 1.5 million brick masterpiece includes planes taxiing up and down,
docking with the passenger tubes. The complex is highly detailed and there are
Red Arrows, cargo trucks and a maintenance bay.
If you didn't know already, the picture on the right
could almost be of a real airport! Around this model are roads with cars and a
main terminal.
DO NOT MISS IT!!!

Copenhagen City centre
The models of Copenhagen are so accurate that we even found the ice-cream
shop where we bought an ice-cream (circled in black) , and the jetty where we
took a tour boat from!
The model of the houses and boats are also quite
impressive, but unless you have been to Copenhagen yourself, then you won't appreciate
the accuracy of this display.

Oil Rig
A highly impressive structure, with model boats circling the base. The detail,
once again, is really impressive, and you can see the helipad, burner and living
quarters.
It is also suspended out of the water, making it
more imposing, as it is almost as high as you are.

Los Angeles - Film Centre
Now this is a good idea! Using the new Mindstorms camera, this is a model
of the filming of an alien show. By looking in viewers, you can see the view from
the camera, as the action unfolds. Even better, you can control the movement of
the cameras from levers attached to the viewer. Finally, by choosing the type
of film (Action or Romance), you choose the style of music.
The model also combines the Life on Mars series.

Los Angeles - The Rest
In addition to the interactive section before, the new Los Angeles section
includes some other great models. This picture is of the cinema where the new
film will be showing.
Other highlights of this sction are the homes of
famous movie stars on the hill, a model of a truck which my Breakdown Truck was
based upon, and a cool fire-engine and city skyline.

Football Stadium / Pop concert
This stadium was originally a football match, but by the time we visited,
it had become a pop concert with the new Bionicle models. It includes a retractable
roof, operated by a button at the side, and a video of the 'real' people doing
the song being performed.
The model looks a little odd in its changed state,
as many of the supporters in the stands are not looking at the concert, and are
waving big flags.
