There were loads of problems which I encountered when building the model, but
the main one was the alignment of the whole model. The distance between the two
wheel supports was three studs and so everything was an odd number of studs in
the model. This meant that to place anything centrally which has an even number
of dots, I had to use the special pieces with one stud on the top and two on the
bottom. I did this for the arm, lights, horns, bonnet and coupling.

The only part for which it was good was the bonnet top! I could place a strip
of 1/3 elements along the top of it and align it perfectly! But it would still
have been easier overall with an even alignment.

The second major problem which I had was with the wheels. I wanted to use this
type of wheel but in fitting the axle to it, it would have become untidy. Therefore
I slotted six small studs into it and a rubber band wheel, enabling the wheel
to be connected smoothly - and it looked brilliant on the outside. On the back
wheels, where there were two, it got even more complicated as the wheels had to
be joined together.

The final problem which I had was with the windscreen, although in the end
it worked out quite well. When I was attaching it and lining it up I suddenly
realised that because of the weird alignment, I could only attach it in one place.
The result was that it could lift right out and extra items could be fitted inside
it (left). The only bad thing about this was that it covered up the steps (below).
