The Lego Breakdown truck is an accurate model of an American Truck used to
tow cars away from crashes. The back rope and lifting arm do not work properly,
as the model was built for show and not for function. I will start at the front
and tell you about it from there. Please note, there are many more features than
there is room to write about here.

The bonnet took about half an hour to build because it kept changing. I added
a small ridge along the middle and also built the surrounding blue line across
it. I also added side lights (indicators) and six lights at the front. The "barrels"
look like the grill and the sloping pieces smooth it off nicely.

The door has immense detail on it and from the screen shot opposite you can
see the door-handle, wing-mirror and windscreen. Just above this are the lights
and horns. I used shiny bricks from the Remote Control Car for this section.(see
below).

At
the back of the cab roof is a set of lights and horns. The two yellow bricks sticking
out on either side are the sirens and two gearsticks represent the power cables.
I again used shiny, silver pieces to make it look much better. Right at the back
of the cab are two chimneys, built of oil drums. I added flag poles in the top
to make them look better.

Finally there is the arm and ropes at the back. I added many features to make
this look impressive, although it does not work. The two ropes are off of the
Santa Cruz pirate ship and the various tubes and pipes were added when I ran out
of rope. The gear-levers at the bottom look very good and the blue line continues
all of the way around the model. At the back are a set of lights and the coupling
mecanism (not seen here) for the trailer.
