The Octan Garage is an accurate model of a Petrol Station, based upon one near
my house (Texaco). The Model is in scale with the Truck and as I found out recently,
Lego Technic Men fit perfectly into it! Below is some information about this model
as well as its statistics.

The Petrol Pumps are built out of basic bricks and control dials but look effective.
I used a submarine dial, gearsticks and filling pipe to create a good effect.
I also used stickers with numbers on them to create the prices. Between the two
pumps are other items including a litter bin (with litter!) and a small rail of
towels built from a clip, light holder and back rest! In the picture you can see
a man taking a towel from the rail.

Another feature which I added was the pump numbers. These were again two stickers
but this time attached to the back of blue chairs. The pillars were also well
built, as I noticed what the pillars looked like on real garages and built them
as a copy. These two in the picture are the front two and the other pair rises
a little way off of the top of the store giving it a proper look. The pumps and
pillars are both built upon a black raised platform in the middle, just like at
real stations.

On the right you can see the Octan logo which I used on my model. It was placed
against a white background and positioned in a corner of the roof like most petrol
stations. This is one of two major details which are on the roof. The other is
a height gauge, to disallow tall vehicles under the cover, built from Technic
and Lego pieces.

Finally, there is the store. The width of this is only four studs but on the
outside there are several features. One is a cash machine which was built from
contorl panels. Like in real life I built it into the wall and used a slanting
window with patterned glass. You can see this on the left. The door is the perfect
height for Lego Technic men and was built from a glass, Lego figure window with
bricks around it to enlargen it. At the far end of the store is a stall which
contains charcoal and other accessories which are often sold on stands outside
of petrol stations.
