About
Lego Smash Bricks is similar to the game Breakout, but this involves Lego
like blocks. The aim is to bounce the ball, using the 'bat' up to the
blocks, and thus deleting them and clearing the screen. Certain bonuses
are also available, and there are 30 levels to play through. Every three
levels, passwords are given, so that you can return to the game at that
level another day.
Playing the Game
Once the game has loaded, click on 'Let me play now!' to start a new game,
or click on 'Enter password & play' to enter a password if you have
already played the game. The screen opposite will load then, and from
here, the game begins. When you click the mouse button, the ball will
rise from your 'bat' at an angle and hit the blocks at the top. Any blocks
which it hits will disappear. When it rebounds back down, move your 'bat'
underneath the bar to hit it back upwards. Continue like this until all
of the blocks on that level have gone.
If, during the game, your ball hits one of the special blocks, you get
a bonus. The bonuses are only available on the more advanced levels.
- Your
bat is extended
- You gain an extra life.
The
first block of text at the bottom of the screen tells you which level
you are on. In the middle are the speed settings. By moving the scrollbar
left and right, you can set the speed of the ball to fast or slow. This
will also change the speed of the animated text at the start and end of
a game. The text on the right shows you how many balls you have left.
Every time you miss the ball with the bat, you have to start with a new
ball. When all three balls are used up, the game ends. N.B. Starting a
new level does not reset the amount of ball which you have.
